Why this page exists
Anyone can post a screenshot of a winner. This is the whole book: every daily call, the read behind it, and what happened next, with the misses left in. The point of Gold Flow is not that it's always right. It's that it grades itself out loud, every session, so you can trust the wins are real and the process survives a losing streak.
The Receipts
Jun 23Issue #03
Win
FADE-RALLIES CALL
The crowd is short into the catalyst. Sell rallies 4170–4200 back to the 4100 wall; a break of 4100 opens the air pocket to the 4000 magnet.
What happenedGold ground straight down to the 4000 / 3978 floor over the next two sessions, exactly the magnet we mapped. The issue also pre-warned the soft-PCE squeeze that fired days later.
Jun 24Issue #04
Win
SQUEEZE LOADED
The target's hit, now the setup flips. With the downside magnet reached and the book one-sided short, the asymmetry flips up: a soft print squeezes the crowd.
What happenedPCE landed soft. Gold flushed to 3980, then reversed hard to 4060, the short-squeeze the issue flagged a day early.
Jun 25Issue #05 · Pre-PCE
Win
FLAT INTO 8:30
Pinned at 4000, the print decides. Don't carry a position through the number. React to the first 30-minute close, don't predict it.
What happenedPCE whipsawed 3980 → 4060 in minutes. Anyone positioned got run over both ways. Flat was the only sane posture, and we said so.
Jun 25Issue #06 · Post-PCE
Win
REACT · PIN ~4040
Relief, not a pivot. The 4000 floor held. Friday pins. A short-cover bounce, not a turn; expect a pin toward 4040 into expiry.
What happenedGold settled 4041 and pinned the 4040 zone as called. The 4000 floor held, the bounce stayed capped, no false pivot chased.
Jun 28Issue #07 · Week Ahead
Win
REACT · GATE 4100
Relief exhausting at the gate. Base case: fade the 4100 rejection while the dollar holds, back toward the 4000 floor.
What happenedThe gate rejected. Gold faded to 4030 on Monday (−66 on the session), the base-case path start to finish.
Jul 1Issue #08 · NFP Eve
Win
FLAT INTO NFP
Flat into the print, then trade the map. The MISS path: a soft number takes buyers up through the thin 4100 zone to 4131/4150, with 4200 the hard ceiling.
What happenedNFP missed at 57K. Gold ran the exact map, up through 4100 to 4187, tagging 4208 right at the called ceiling before sellers hit it. Flat into the print, then the plan paid.
Jul 6Issue #09 · Week Ahead
Win
FADE THE EDGES
A range week, 4075 to 4300. Fade the edges, buy the floor flush, sell the ceiling. The 10Y is the one thing that breaks it.
What happenedThe floor got overshot, not just faded: Wednesday's minutes reaction flushed price to ~4025, well under the 4075 line, before it ripped back to a 4150 high by Friday. The ceiling was never in danger, 4300 was never approached. The floor-flush logic paid, just at a deeper level than mapped.
Jul 7Issue #10 · Tue Plan
Miss
TRADE THE BOX
Coil into Wednesday. Trade the box edge to edge; the after-inflation rate is the kill-switch, the Fed minutes the resolver.
What happenedThe catalyst call was right, the Fed minutes were exactly the resolver. But "coil" was the wrong word: the box didn't hold edge to edge, it broke hard, a rally to 4190 Tuesday followed by a violent drop to ~4025 on the minutes reaction. Logged as a miss on framing, not on direction, no quiet deletions.
Jul 7Issue #11 · Globex, Wed Plan
Win
SELL RALLIES
Yields broke out, gold fell on a missile strike. Sell rallies into the broken shelves, into Wednesday's Fed minutes; hawkish detail extends the drop through the 4075 shelf.
What happenedHawkish minutes hit exactly as flagged. Gold broke 4075 cleanly and bled to a ~4025 low before stabilizing, the base case, start to finish.
Jul 12Issue #12 · Week Ahead
Win
SELL RALLIES
Gold sold its own weekend open. Real yields confirmed Friday's drop. Sell rallies into the broken levels (4125, 4100), into Tuesday's CPI. Short 4100–4110 on a bounce, stop 4129.
What happenedThe weekly open at 4125–4129 gave way within hours of the Sunday reopen, 4100 with it. The cascade ran the mapped path straight down to the 4,000 magnet, tagging 3,990 by Tuesday's open. The short into the broken shelf paid to 4,050 and below.
Jul 13Issue #13 · Cascade + Tue CPI
Win
FLAT INTO CPI
The war sank gold instead of lifting it. Real yields in the driver's seat, 4,000 the line into Tuesday's CPI. Flat into the print, with the miss-path mapped: a soft number squeezes the crowd up through 4,100 toward 4,150.
What happenedThe cascade finished into the 4,000 magnet, which never lost a 30-min close. Tuesday's CPI came in cold, headline -0.4% and below the entire street, and fired the squeeze the map called: 3,990 to 4,110 in half an hour, +120 points, the exact minimum of the mapped band. Flat into the gate, then the map paid.
Jul 14Issue #14 · CPI + Warsh
Win
NEUTRAL INTO PPI
Soft CPI popped gold, then Warsh killed it. The war routes through rates, not safe-haven flow. Neutral into PPI, no position carried into the print, react to whichever path fires.
What happenedPPI came in soft. Gold popped to 4,092, short of the 4,105 reclaim trigger, then faded 40 points back to 4,028 and closed 4,067, a round trip that stayed inside the mapped pin the whole session. Staying flat into the print was the right call, neither directional trigger got a clean fire.
Jul 15Issue #15 · PPI + Real Yields
Win
NEUTRAL · PIN
Soft PPI popped gold, the fade paid, closed flat. Real yields printed a fresh cycle high. Pinned 4,020 to 4,090 until real yields choose.
What happenedThe pin held through Wednesday exactly as called, closing flat at 4,067. It broke Thursday when real yields finally eased and gold accepted below 4,020, confirming the call's own trigger condition: real yields were the switch, and when they moved, the pin gave way.
Jul 16Issue #16 · The Balance Break
Win
BEAR BELOW 4,000
Four days of balance broke. Gold accepted below 4,020 and settled 3,979.9 on the week's highest volume. Below 4,000 sellers control the tape toward 3,950; a reclaim of 4,000 fails the breakdown and rotates back to 4,030/4,050.
What happenedFriday ran both halves of the map: a 3,963 low, just short of the 3,950 target, then a reclaim through 4,000 into the expiry close at 4,028, right at the reclaim objective. The level map bounded the session correctly in both directions.
Jul 19Issue #17 · The Reopen That Broke a Line
Miss
BEAR BELOW 4,000
Gold sold the Sunday reopen and broke 4,000 on the first US combat deaths of this escalation cycle. The break came in thin liquidity with the rate channel still unconfirmed; Monday's session decides whether it holds.
What happenedIt didn't hold. Monday reclaimed 4,000 on consecutive 30-min closes and defended it the whole session, the low just three points under, so the breakdown was rejected rather than confirmed. Logged as a miss on the lean, which was only ever rated two-of-five and fragile. Both branches of the map behaved as drawn: the 4,015 reclaim long paid +0.8R to its first target, and the gated short exited at its own reclaim trigger for −0.5R instead of arguing with the tape.
Jul 20Issue #18 · The Reclaim That Held
Win
DEFENDED ABOVE 4,000
Not a rally. A refusal. Three bear channels confirmed, the 10-year through its trigger to 4.594, the 2-year in breakout and the Dollar near 101, and gold still closed down only seven points. 4,000 was reclaimed on consecutive 30-min closes and defended all session, so Sunday's breakdown is rejected rather than confirmed.
What happenedGold had every reason to fall and didn't, and reading that as a refusal rather than a pause paid the next session: Tuesday ripped +66 points to a 4,082 settle, straight through every bear input on the board. On the day itself the fade short at 4,045–4,055 paid +1.9R into 4,015, and the continuation long correctly never triggered, because 4,046 was a wick and not a close.
Jul 21Issue #19 · Midrange of balance
Win
PINNED 4,050-4,100
Gold ripped 66 points through every bear input, then stalled. A fresh 4,050–4,100 balance with the edge genuinely unresolved: the settle and the next real-yield print decide which way it breaks. Above a 4,100 30-min close the map runs 4,125, then 4,150.
What happenedIt broke up. Wednesday reached 4,166 and the mapped 4,100 continuation long paid +1.3R into the 4,125/4,150 band. Refusing to pick a direction was the right shape for the day: the 4,100–4,108 pullback long never filled either, because the deepest dip was 4,117. One thing we got wrong and are keeping on the page: the day was tagged as a breakeven-led move and had to be re-attributed to real yields once the print posted. Right trade, wrong label.
Jul 22Issue #20 · The rate model says fade
Win
STANDOFF · 4,100 DECIDES
The rate model says fade the whole move. The order flow says 4,100 is a floor. Gold printed a fresh 4,166 high and gave it back while the bond market started pricing a hike next week, the first failed breakout of a 170-point run. Thursday's jobs print breaks the tie.
What happenedThe print broke the tie for the rate model. Claims came in at 187K, the fewest since 1969, hike odds repriced to roughly 40% for July and 82% for September, real yields hit a 2.39 cycle high, and gold fell −101 in a single session to settle 4,050.2. 4,100 did not hold. The cascade short into 4,095–4,110 paid +2R and terminated at the 4,050 cluster exactly per the rule, so the 4,017/4,000 runner was never added.
How we grade. Three words, no hedging in between. A Win is when the tape traded the path we mapped, and that includes the days we said to stand aside and the session went on to prove why. A Loss is when we were in it and it went against us. A Miss is when the read was wrong. A call sits Live until it resolves, and counts on neither side while it does. Anything worth qualifying gets explained in the entry rather than softened in the grade. This page was rebuilt from the published issues and cross-checked against the settlement tape. It covers the issues listed above and is brought forward in batches, so the newest issues reach it after the calls have resolved. Misses included, no quiet deletions. If a call is wrong, it stays on the page.
Trade the level, not the noise.
Gold Flow is a daily futures brief in plain language: the read, the levels, the plan, and the invalidation, before the session opens. The receipts are public. The plan is for members.
